Vero Surprise Weekend
Saturday Morning and we just finished our pancake breakfast. I listed off about 10 things we could do this beautiful Saturday morning. The last thing I suggested was to go to Vero and surprise John and Judy. Mike said let's do it. He did it once in high school and called his sister to make sure they would be home. We packed up the house in a hour and half and on the road we went. Got to Vero and rang the door bell. SURPRISE. They were very excited to see us and surprised too. Plus, our Judy and John's Best Friends Kathy and Arty were in town so they could meet Maggie too!<---Kathy, Arty and Maggie

Cereal Trials

This week we are pledging to try cereal every breakfast. I am home all week and we have a pretty routine schedule. Here are our first glimpses of our trial with cereal.
Other things she is liking this week:
* On Saturday we put her fan on in her room. I guess we have never did that before and she just loves it. We walk into the room and the fan is on she whips her head around to check it out.
* She loves her little piano I got her for Christmas. She smacks her hand on it and gets it to play music.
* She has been so happy the last few days. Lots of big smiles.

5 Months

Your baby can't express his emotions in the same complex way you can. Although he can clearly let you know when he's happy or unhappy, his ability to demonstrate his love and sense of humor is just developing.
As your baby gets older, he may start to cry when you leave the room and get excited when you come back in. He may also raise his arms when he wants to be picked up and give you pats on the back.
And you'll probably see him getting your jokes — he'll laugh at funny expressions and try to make you laugh too. Keep the laughter flowing with your silly faces!
Maggie Highlights
* Diapers: Size 2
* Clothes: 6-9 months
* Eating times/amounts: 5 times a day; 7 ounces
* Will babble for 30 seconds at a time
* Can sit up supported, but will bobble over if not assisted.
* Sleeping through the night- wakes up at 6:45 am and goes to sleep around 7:15 pm
* Toys: Panda, Crackle book, Plastic Keys, Musical Pig
* Naps: typically at 9:15ish and one at 5:00 pm
* Few big laughs here and there
* Still taking binky for bed time only
* Constantly putting her hands in her mouth.
* She can totally support her head when you hold her. 100 percent.
* Has rolled over from Back to belly a few times at night.
* She has gotten her foot stuck in the side of crib and we had to go in and rescue her.
* At night she lifts up her legs in the air and then pounds them down on the bed... repeatedly. She ended up doing a 360 in the bed. Sometimes she wakes up perpendicular instead of paraell.

1st trip to St. Augustine

This weekend we went to St. Augustine to visit Johnny and Laurel. It was Maggie's first big road trip besides going to Vero Beach. We took everything: Pack and Play, Bouncy Seat, Bumbo, 5 blankets, a bag filled with Toys, the bottle warmer, her little overnight bag and tons more. She slept along the way and did fantastic in the car. On the way she made it about 2 hours and 15 minutes.. the last 15 mintues she got antsy. On the way home, she did fantastic.
While in St.Augustine we had dinner on the intercoastal at Cap's. Then we went shopping at the outlets and finished the night with Johnny cooking us a BBQ dinner. The next day we went to church and brunch at Ihop! Maggie did fantastic the entire time.

Happy Birthday Quinn Scott
God works in crazy ways. Today he brought a life into the world. Ann and James are now parents. Almost at the exact same time, he gave new life to Ann's dad by blessing him with a bone marrow transplant. I mean literally the exact same time. At one point the last drop of blood was being transfused and at that very moment Ann began to push her baby boy into the world. It was a beautiful moment. Born at 4:36 pm.8 pounds 9 ounces, 20.5 inches long.
