10 months, 3 weeks
Your baby's ability to vocalize is improving, and he may say his first word any time now. When he does, repeat it softly and clearly so he can learn the correct pronunciation. (Bear in mind that many babies won't utter an intelligible peep for several more months, and that's normal, too.) First words don't always have precise definitions, by the way. "Dog" may mean anything with four legs, and "ba-ba" could signify bottle, teddy bear, bye-bye – or all three.
She has been babbling a lot lately. We plan to be on a look out for anything that could mean something from her.
Some cool stuff that she already does:
* Turns pages of books
* Stands up and pull her self up at places that don't have grasps like- Dishwasher, Trash can, walls
* Crawls FAST!
* Eating more real meals, less puree.
* Loves noodles.
More to come!

Sheada's Baby Shower
Here are few photos from Sheada's Baby Shower. Maggie is wearing a ORANGE & BLUE dress a gift given to her by her God Mother Ann. Maggie wanted to wear because she knew that Sheada Loves the Gators. In the photos, Maggie just woke up from a nap.
Later that day we went to our Football Draft and saw RJ. RJ is not just walking, but running! He is growing so fast.

Talking to your chatterbox
Your baby is just beginning to understand many simple words and phrases, so it's more important than ever to keep talking to him. Give your chatterbox a head start on good speech patterns by repeating his words back to him using adult language. If he asks for a "bah-bah," for example, gently reinforce the correct pronunciation by asking, "Do you want a bottle?" At this stage of the game, it's best to try to avoid the tendency to use baby talk — it's fun, but hearing the right words is better for your baby's development.
Though it may sometimes feel silly, having conversations with your baby is a great way to encourage his language skills. When he rattles off a sentence of gibberish, respond with "Oh, really? How interesting." He'll probably smile and keep chattering away.
Soon you may notice some words or gestures you actually understand, as well as other forms of communication, such as pointing and grunting. It's important to name the objects he points at — or point out objects of your own — to help him learn the names of things.
Give your baby a play-by-play description of what you're doing — whether you're dicing onions for dinner or folding the laundry. As you put him in his stroller, say, "There you go, into your blue stroller. Now, let's buckle you in and get you comfortable. Okay, we're off to the park."
You can also sing nursery rhymes, demonstrate actions that go with words (saying "bye-bye" and waving, for instance), and play games, such as ring-around-the-rosy, so he learns to identify key words and phrases.
He'll soon start to make the connections. Before long, he'll be clapping his hands together when you do and may begin to say "mama" when he's looking at Mom and "dada" when Dad comes into the room (though at this point he's still more likely to use the two words indiscriminately).
2 months till the big party! Holy cow this is going fast!
We had an exciting month including a double ear infection (her second), but it cleared up pretty quick. That same week she also was breaking THREE more teeth. It was a rough go, but quickly recovered.
Here are some other highlights:
* Play Area has a boarder and she loves to play with her toys.
* Some of her favorite: still mini- ball, piano, and cups
* Maggie loves to pull herself up to the fence and cruise the couch cushions.
* She loves to play chase either in someone's arms or as she crawls around on the floor.
* Eats 28 ounces a day
* Three meals a day- loves avocado, sweet potato, puffs, yogurt, oatmeal
* Sleeps most nights
* Started to chew on the crib, had to get a cover.
* Has been drinking from sippy cup perfectly and straw cup
* Takes a nap at 10:15 and one at 4 pm
* Started to pet Buster
* Loves Bath time
* Size 4 diapers
* Started to need a lovie to go to sleep. She chews on a cloth diaper right before bed
* Has more hair- we actually brush it before she goes to bed
Enjoying every minute.
