Maggie 1st Day SHECC

Maggie's first day at Sacred Heart Child Care in St. Joe. She ate waffle, banana, and yogurt for breakfast.
I packed her chicken, celery, crackers, cheese stick, and clementine oranges for lunch.

Big Dog, Little Dog

Maggie can about read this entire book. If you read the first part of the sentence, she will fill in the end. Amazing!

Church words

Maggie has been so great in church lately. She crosses her hands when we go up to communion and sits quietly most of the time. When she does talk in church these are the words she knows:

A-men
Cross
Jesus
Rosary
Baby- cause she usually hears another baby cry

She also loves to watch the kids help in the teen mass. She puts the offeratory in the basket. She waves to Jesus when they carry the cross in and out. During the Eucharist when the ring the bells we tell her Jesus is here and thank him for our blessings.

If she does get antsy I will take her to the back of the chapel and back to our seats.

Today as she was looking at the stain glass near the ceiling she called it the castle.

It is amazing how much she has picked up at church all before the age of two.

Names of People She Knows:
Nana, Papa, Pap Pap, Lisa (sounds like "ee-sa"), Chris, Johnny, Miranda, Gauge, Quinn (sounds like "innn"), Zander (sounds like Shander) Mike (Miss Miranda's Husband), Grand Ma Izzy (has been a harder one), Laurel (sounds like Lo-Lo)

We are trying to teach her "HELP" so when she gets frustrated with something she will try to ask for help. She does this a lot.

She is amazing.

Number 2

Yes. You read that right. She went number 2 on her potty.
I spared the photos, however I was tempted for just a second, but did not take any.

The next day she went to the potty 3 times at Miranda's and again before bed!
We are getting close.

Chief Tecumseh

“So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”
