Wow! Not sure where to begin? We spent the Saturday with Aunt Rita who is very sick in Sarasota. Mom got a call from our Cousin Cindi who said she was not doing well at all and Cindi really could use mom's help. I didn't want Mom to go all the way to Sarasota by herself since she was upset and I too wanted to see Aunt Rita. Our participation in Earth Day was cancelled so I packed up Maggie and off we went. Mike was on call most of the day so it worked out.
During our visit, Aunt Rita was out of it most of the time and we prayed over/for her. Mom helped the nurse get her better situated. I bought lunch for Cindi, Barb, and Jane (Aunt Rita's daughters)and gave our support.
Later in the afternoon we returned home. I then fed/packed up Maggie and we went up to Dade City because Mike was still on call for the evening and we needed to get up early for church.
Maggie did wonderfully all night. We woke up early for church and we got her Easter Dress on. Mike joined us and off to church we went. I love St. Rita's. We got to sing classic/favorite church songs (I am the bread of life and Jesus Christ is Risen today) and Maggie did wonderfully. Slept from the 2nd reading to communion.
We then went home and started to prepare Easter lunch. Which included: Honey Baked Ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked corn, green bean casserole, devil eggs, green salad, apple pie, cherry pie- A REAL FEAST.
Johnny and Laurel joined us as did Malcom and Judy. We opened Maggie's Easter present from Grand Ma and Pap Pap which included several outfits, socks and blocks set. Buster gave Aunt Laurel a rug that he tore up from our last visit.
The Easter Bunny brought Maggie two pairs of pink shorts, pants, 2 sippy cups, plastic eggs, and green and pink dress. Nana gave her a pink and white polk-a-dot Easter Basket with her name on it and a "My First Easter" bottle that the Easter bunny also placed in the basket with a boo-boo bunny.
Maggie is also sitting up so much better! We have been practicing in the mornings and evenings at home. At the sitter they are putting her on the floor with her blanket more for her to gain more strength. She can now sit up unassisted for about 15 seconds before losing her balance. She props her self with toy wheel that sings the alphabet and just spins the heck out of it!
The photo above Maggie has on the Easter outfit that Nana gave her that has the bunny on it. I took several more photos with my mom's camera- MINE WAS AT HOME! Mike thought it was in my trunk and didn't bring it!
