Today I spent most of my time running around looking at billboards for our media buyers. The numbers that are on the signs are so small and I can barely see them. I had to drive over the Howard Franklin three times. Ugh.
ALso, the charting about what I have ate is over. As is going to the gym. I have lost my motivation. Hopefully I will get my second wind. It lasted about two months, but I don't really have the urge to write all the details anymore. I think I will come back. I still like blogging, just not all about the food.

Strawberries and Inlaws

We have been watching Sadie Higgins the last couple days. She has been such a sweet gal to Buster. They love cuddling together and Buster loves to tease and show her love. Sadie's mom and dad came to pick her up tonight and I also made a new recipe for Chili. It was great meal.
John and Judy also brought us strawberries. So yummy! I have already cut them and been eating them all week. I am addicted to strawberries. So good!
The GTI is also being worked on by John in Vero. This was a GOD send. When Mike wanted to sell the GTI for $4500 and take a loss, John offered to take it back to Vero, give it a detail and try to sell it for more. This is such a wonderful offer because the GTI was taking up space in the garage and just sitting there. Mike kept putting it off trying to sell it. I think he is emotionally attached to it. But weather or not if he is or isn't attached nothing was getting done. So when John offered to take it, we said yes. What a blessing.
We also played scrabble on Monday night and Mike beat the pants off of everyone. He even got a BINGO. A bingo is when you use all your tiles and get an extra 50 points.
On Tuesday, my dad helped me out big time but running all the way to Lake Mary and back so I could pick up the corn hole boards for my event this weekend. It was a one-day road trip. I really appreciated his help! I miss my Mariner so much! But it was great way to spend the day with Dad nonetheless.

Open Letter to FSU Basketball Coach Leonard Hamilton
Dear Leonard,
Your team just lost tonight and they shouldn't have. Where do I begin?
1) How to break a full court press? The answer... get the ball to the middle of the court. You guys are doing a horrible job and dribbling straight to the corners at half court. This allows the defense to trap you therefore causing a turnover. I believe you had more than 20 turnovers.
2) Get the ball to Alabie and just tell him to turn and shoot. This is one of your biggest flaws as a coach is that you haven't worked with him on this. He is 10 feet tall. Just have him turn and shoot. Do not put the ball on the ground. Do not fade away. Just turn and shoot.
3) Make your free throws. Late in the game your guys legs are tired and they need to use them more and make the free throws. Fundamentals Leonard, fundamentals.
4) Time management, game management, turnovers. What gives? Less than two minutes and you don't manage the clock. And this is not the first time I have seen this team just fall apart at the end of the game. You are the coach. You have captains. They should know how many minutes left are in the game. They should know how to pull the ball back out and run an offense and stall when you are up by five.
5) Finally, you have 13 seconds left in the game and your magic play is an in bound to Luke for a three pointer. That was it? Seriously? Get a better last minute play. How about a Alabie for a lay up and they would foul him? Something else. You disappointed me.

Scrabble Victory

There you have it. My first scrabble victory on my new board. Mike is still up two wins to my one. But Victory does feel sweet. On valentine's day he said, "I really wanted to get you something, but I couldn't find the right one." I was like whatever, I really loved the card he picked out and the special message he wrote. Last Sunday, we were out and about and we stopped by Barns N Noble and said let's go in here and I want to see if they have the right one. Sure enough, there was the scrabble board he wanted to get me. He bought it and said "Happy Valentine's Day."
Yes, victory is sweet.

Home Alone
I am home alone and I love it. My husband is with my brother at a Ralph's. My parents are with my in-laws at sea. I am home with Buster and Sadie watching the Olympics. There is something beautiful in the world when all this happens. I love my family each member. But I love when the bonds around my family get stronger. Memories and good times are shared. It is beautiful and I hope all of them are having a wonderful time. I can't wait to hear all about the stories that are happening.

Hiring People & Two Speaking Engagements
We were in Gainesville on Tuesday doing screening interviews. I just don't understand how we are looking at 10 percent unemployment and we saw the people that we saw. Grant you these were people that were answering an ad on craigs list. However, they were some of the rough looking folks I have ever saw. Some had never eaten at Chipotle before. How can you apply at a place you never stepped a foot into? Amazing.
On a more positive note I spoke to two college classes yesterday at USF and UT. I wanted to tell them so many of the things that people didn't tell me when I graduated. I spoke to them about FWI and what Chipotle was all about. Great groups, great hosted lunches and a great day all together.
